Create tones quickly with pencil and watercolour
In just three easy steps you can quickly produce colour sketches that are also tonally correct.
1.
Draw your picture using an HB or a 2B pencil.
2.
Shade in with a pencil wherever you see darker tones.
3.
Paint over with thin watercolour washes that allow the pencil shading to show through. The shaded areas wil immediately look darker than the non-shaded areas, creating tonal variation with no fuss!
